Emergency Services Mobile Communication Programme (ESMCP) – The UK Home Office is leading a cross-government programme to deliver the new Emergency Services Network (ESN) critical communications system. This will replace the current Airwave TETRA radio service currently used by the emergency services in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). ESN will enable fast, safe and secure voice, video and data via LTE 4G network connectivity and enable first responders immediate access to life-saving information on the frontline.
Challenge
Technical test assurance function covering the non-functional requirements within the Home Office delivery of the Emergency Services Network (ENS) was required.
Solution
Complexus supplied, via Mason Advisory, engineering resource to fill this need as the “Test Assurance Authority for Performance & Security”. This was to verify the end-to-end service delivery of the solution met or exceeded the specifications. Covering all elements from software, mobile devices, mobile access network through to backend services and features.
