Career spans both military and commercial mission / safety critical solutions.  Having held various positions across many projects. These have included requirements capture & analysis, design, implementation, integration, configuration, testing, defect management and live operational / business support services.

Achievements

  • Head of system testing for the worlds largest multi-agency public safety TETRA system.
  • Chairperson of the Dimetra User Forum
  • Engineered a national geographically redundant, multi-agency public safety Integrated Communications Control System (ICCS) into an existing TETRA system.
  • Planned and executed the relocation and re-engineering of the entire backhaul connectivity for British forces in Kosovo from a temporary location to a purpose built facility.
  • Presented an overview of military telecommunications systems and capabilities to members of the Royal Family.
  • Engineered the satellite connectivity at a multinational demonstration of new technologies for the military, with more than 100 circuits in use over the same link, a first in its time.
  • Solved an interoperability problem between UK and German military HF communication systems, which had been an outstanding issue for many years beforehand.
